Signing of Technical Cooperation Agreement for Hydrogen Production from Coal Chemical Industry Waste Gas Coupled with Carbon Dioxide Reduction to Methanol / Author/Source: Huahua Network – Coal Chemical Industry. On December 17, Liu Yongcheng, Party Secretary and Chairman of Jutai Energy Inner Mongolia Co., Ltd., and Wei Wei, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Institute of Advanced Studies, Chinese Academy of Sciences, signed a cooperation agreement regarding the production of hydrogen from methane-rich waste gas generated in the coal chemical industry, coupled with the indirect synthesis of methanol through carbon dioxide reduction. On December 17, a meeting on the transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements was held at the Hohhot Science and Technology Museum in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Cui Lianguo, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Jutai Group, attended the meeting, while Bu Xiaolin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Autonomous Region, and Ouyang Xiaohui, the region’s head, presided over the ceremony. At the conference, cooperation agreements were signed for 12 projects related to the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, including those focused on \"producing hydrogen from methane-rich waste gases in coal chemical industries, and indirectly synthesizing methanol through carbon dioxide hydrogenation.\" Eleven institutions, including the Shanghai Advanced Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Process Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Tsinghua University, presented their achievements. The participating universities, research institutions, and enterprises carried out \"one-on-one\" matchmaking discussions in various fields. Prior to the conference, the Science and Technology Department of the autonomous region conducted a campaign to gather information on scientific and technological achievements that could be put into use, as well as technical needs, in relation to the region’s key industries and industries with competitive advantages. This campaign was aimed at the science and technology management departments of various cities and regions within the autonomous region, as well as relevant universities, research institutions, and enterprises. In total, more than 90 organizations expressed interest in participating in the exhibition and networking activities organized as part of this event. In total, 68 projects were presented on site, with 220 requests for technology transfer and 58 technical needs identified. The topics covered key areas such as large-scale energy storage, graphene, hydrogen energy, carbon capture and storage, Mongolian and Chinese medicine, modern agriculture and livestock farming, information technology, and ecological environment.
