It is understood that the coking project mentioned by Alxa League Mayor Dai Qin is a 6-million-ton coking project (with 2 production lines, each capable of producing 3 million tons) that will be built at an investment of 22 billion yuan by Wuhai Rongxin Energy (Group) Industry Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Alxa Humei Energy Industry Co., Ltd.; construction of this project has already begun. The project is located on the southwest side of the Bayin Aobao Industrial Park in the Alxa League High-Tech Industry Development Zone, covering an area of approximately 4 square kilometers. Public information shows that Wuhai Rongxin Group Company is a large-scale comprehensive coal chemical enterprise that uses coal as its main raw material. The company was registered in June 2009, and its current production capacity includes an annual output of 1.2 million tons of compacted coke, 3 million tons of heavy-media washed coal, and 100,000 tons of methanol. The company’s main products include: secondary metallurgical coke, coal tar, sulfur, thiamine, crude benzene, etc. For the coking unit, the coke oven type selected is the TJL5550D model, a 2*60-hole dual-type lower-firing single-heating side-loading tamped coke oven with a carbonization chamber height of 5.5 meters. Alxa League Hu-Mong Energy Industry Co., Ltd. was established in September 2019, funded and built by Wuhai Rongxin Energy (Group) Industry Co., Ltd. It aims to become a comprehensive enterprise in the coal coking and deep processing industry with an annual production capacity of 6 million tons. The relevant official told the Inner Mongolia Chemical Industry WeChat official account that at present, Alxa League in Inner Mongolia has basically established a circular economy framework characterized by modern coal chemical industry, salt chemical industry, and fine chemical industry as the main drivers, with multiple industries interconnected. In the field of salt chemicals, the current production capacity for metallic sodium and indigo is 85,000 tons and 88,000 tons respectively, accounting for over 70% and 90% of the global market share ； Products such as 270,000 tons of paste resin, chloroacetic resin, and CPVC lead the domestic high-end resin industry. In the field of coal chemical industry, it is necessary to move away from the traditional coal coking approach and promote the development of this industry in the direction of innovation, sophistication, and carbon materials, achieving a transformation from \"black to white\" and then from \"white to refined\". A coal chemical industry chain has been established, featuring 660,000 tons per year of hydrogenation and lightening processes using advanced domestic technology, 200,000 tons per year of wax produced via Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, 200,000 tons per year of caprolactam, as well as 140,000 tons per year of liquefied natural gas and carbon fiber. In the field of fine chemicals, the strategy focuses on vertical expansion and horizontal diversification, with efforts being made to guide the development of this industry toward areas such as active pharmaceutical ingredients, finished drugs, and new chemical materials. Five key industrial chains have been established in the production of hydrocyanic acid, methanol derivatives, benzene, chlorine-consuming substances, and pyridine-based fine chemicals; there are over 50 types of products produced. Among these, aminoglycerol fills a gap in domestic production, while products such as creatine, anilineacetonitrile, trichloroethylene, anhydrous potassium fluoride, diaminotoluene, and various photoinitiator series have the largest production capacity in China or lead in terms of manufacturing processes within the industry. The industrial chain in the Alxa Industrial Park has been further extended, collaboration among different product-related industries has become stronger, and the framework for circular development has been consolidated.
