On the morning of March 17, the primary and secondary washing towers for distillate washing in the asphalt processing unit of Shanxi Fuma Carbon Materials Technology Co., Ltd., a project constructed by the First Branch of China National Chemical Engineering Corporation No. 13, were successfully installed. This is the “first lift” since the project resumed work. The commencement of this lifting operation marks the transition of on-site construction to the installation phase. Before the equipment arrived, the project’s epidemic prevention staff carried out thorough disinfection of the vehicles and equipment, as well as temperature checks on the drivers and passengers. Subsequently, 25-ton and 75-ton cranes as well as equipment transport vehicles entered the site one after another in an orderly manner. At 10 o’clock sharp, the first tower was slowly lowered from the equipment transport vehicle to the ground, with the assistance of a 75-ton main crane and a 25-ton auxiliary crane. After a series of alignment adjustments, lifting began, and both towers were successfully lifted into place. In 2018, the Chemical Energy Company and Shanxi Jinghua Carbon Co., Ltd. jointly established Shanxi Fuma Carbon Materials Technology Co., Ltd. in Jieyou City, Shanxi, to build a tar processing facility with an annual capacity of 300,000 tons, a needle coke production facility with an annual capacity of 40,000 tons, as well as various supporting facilities. The total investment in the project is approximately 900 million yuan, with the Chemical Energy Company holding a 51% stake. The project construction period is 18 months. Shanxi Fuma Carbon Materials Technology Co., Ltd.’s 300,000 tons per year anhydrous tar processing project uses high-temperature coal tar as raw material and employs atmospheric and vacuum distillation processes to produce modified asphalt and other products, which serve as raw materials for the newly built 40,000 tons per year needle coke project. The project is located in Jieyou City, Shanxi Province. Its construction is in line with **industrial adjustment policies, and it will generate good economic benefits upon completion. The fumaric tar processing and needle coke project is the first initiative carried out through cooperation between MaSteel Group and Luxin Group, marking a substantial step forward in their partnership.
