The construction of Inner Mongolia Joutai New Materials’ 1 million-ton ethylene glycol production facility is advancing at full speed! Author/Source: Inner Mongolia Jutai New Materials Date: 2020-04-03 Clicks: 20 As of April 1, the 1 million-ton per year ethylene glycol production project of Inner Mongolia Jutai New Materials Company had 2,035 workers back at work; 19 companies were involved in this process, with 241 management staff and 1,776 construction workers. There is an adequate supply of epidemic prevention supplies on site, and various types of equipment are arriving one after another, allowing the construction work to return to a efficient and orderly pace as efforts are made to advance the project’s development. Structural construction is underway at the AP warehouse and the comprehensive warehouse. The central control room, workshop offices, and fire and gas protection center are under renovation. The civil foundations for Boilers 1#-4# in the boiler island have been completed; 75% of the steel structure installation is done, and 90% of the exterior cladding work on the chimney has been finished. 80% of the structural construction for the desalinated water station has been completed, and equipment installation is currently in progress. The construction of the pool foundation in the concentrated brine pretreatment plant has been completed. The regulation tank for the biochemical wastewater treatment plant has been completed; 80% of the AO tanks are finished, while the construction of the remaining structures is in progress. The structural construction of the reclaimed water treatment tank and the accident tank has been completed, while the construction of the other components is still in progress. The construction of the water intake structures for the second and third circulating water systems has been completed, and the construction of the second-floor structure of the cooling tower is in progress. The structural construction of the main substation is complete, and equipment installation is currently in progress. The construction of the methanol synthesis, compression, air cooling, and distillation units in the methanol plant area has been completed, and prefabrication of the steel structures is currently in progress. The steel structure installation for Sections A and F of the process external utility corridor has been completed; 70% of the steel structure work for Section B is done, foundation construction is in progress for Section C, and the foundation work for Section D has been completed. 85% of the structural construction for the coal transfer island transfer station has been completed, and the main structure construction of Transfer Station No. 5 is in progress ; The main construction of the silo is in progress ; The coal crushing workshop is undergoing construction of the main structure simultaneously with equipment installation. While ensuring the prevention and control of infectious diseases, the new materials company will make every effort to accelerate the construction progress of the project, so as to ensure its operation and effectiveness on schedule, thereby contributing to the high-quality development of the economy.
Jiutai is deeply involved in the coal chemical industry, with the goal of growing and strengthening its position in this field!
The space powder gasifier is the core of the gasification system; it can handle 2,000 tons of coal per day and produce 125,000 standard cubic meters of usable gas per hour. Together with the AP furnace, it will supply the basic usable gas required for operations throughout the entire plant. The gasification unit area is one of the core units in Jutai’s 1 million-ton ethylene glycol project; work there has progressed rapidly since resumption, and meanwhile, various large-scale equipment for this project has arrived one after another. Inner Mongolia Joutai New Materials Co., Ltd. was established in March 2017. The project is located in the western area of the Tuoketuo Industrial Park; the facility for producing 1 million tons of ethylene glycol per year covers an area of 2,565 mu. Construction of this project began on September 29, 2017. It utilizes mature domestic coal gasification technologies developed for aerospace applications and by SHELL, low-temperature methanol washing technology, as well as the world’s advanced formylation hydrocarboxylation technology provided by Davy Company to produce ethylene glycol. The total investment in the project is 11.78 billion yuan. It is planned to complete the trial operations by the end of 2020, with full production starting in 2021. The project is expected to generate annual sales revenue of 10.6 billion yuan and profits and taxes of 3.66 billion yuan.
