Ignition of the gasifier in the Jiangxi Jimin Kexin Industrial Gas Project is imminent. Author/Source: Coal Chemical Engineering 114 Forum. Date: April 23, 2020. Clicks: 9. On April 20, work on the Jiangxi Jimin Kexin Industrial Gas Project, undertaken by the Zhongyuan Branch of China National Chemical Engineering Group Corporation No. 11 Construction Co., Ltd., has seen 96% completion of the DIN-sized pipes (360,000 inches in diameter); focus has now shifted entirely to testing and pressure testing, as the project enters its final phase! The main structures of the 3 x 130T fly ash incineration boilers, constructed by 11th Construction Engineering Company, have all been completed. Boiler No. 1 is currently undergoing chemical pickling, steadily moving toward the goal of starting gas production by May 1st! Furnace 2 is ready for drying, while the construction work on Furnace 3 is in full swing. Over 50% of the pressure testing for the Gasification Series 1 has been completed, over 85% of the pressure testing for the Desulfurization Series 1 has been finished, and over 50% of the individual unit tests have been carried out. Every effort is being made to meet the goal of lighting up the gasifiers in the Gasification Series 1 by June 5th! The various tasks related to the Gasification 2 series and Desulfurization 2 series are also progressing steadily as planned. This project aims to produce 13 billion Nm3/year of clean industrial gas derived from coal, and it will be built in two phases: the first phase will produce 9 billion Nm3/year of such gas, while the second phase will produce 4 billion Nm3/year. The resulting clean industrial gas will be supplied to over 40 enterprises in the ceramics industry. Upon completion, the project will become the world’s largest coal-based clean industrial gas project to date. This project consists of a gasification unit, waste heat and energy recovery power generation units, air separation units, utility systems and auxiliary facilities, as well as a gas pipeline network within the park. The gasification unit uses CXL6000I circulating fluidized bed oxygen-enriched gasification furnaces, which were jointly developed by the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Huangtai Gas Furnace Co., Ltd.; there are a total of 16 such furnaces with a capacity of 72,000 Nm3/h each ; The waste heat and waste energy power generation plant includes 3 130T boilers, 3 N45 turbines, and 1 C25 turbine ; The air separation unit uses 2×32000 air separation systems. Located in Gao’an City, known as the \"China Building Ceramic Industry Base,\" this project was established by Jimin Kexin Group in the Jiangxi Province Building Ceramic Industry Base. The aim is to optimize the energy structure of this industrial base, promote circular transformation within the park, develop clean energy and environmental protection industries, and thus foster healthy and sustainable economic and social development in the region. The project is carried out by Jimin Kexin (Gao’an) Clean Energy Co., Ltd., with a total investment of around 6.5 billion yuan. It covers an area of over 1,600 mu, and it is planned to build a facility capable of producing 13 billion Nm3 of clean industrial gas per year, with a heat value of 1,500 kcal/Nm3; meanwhile, a power generation system that makes use of waste heat and energy will also be installed. The project will be constructed in phases to supply clean industrial gas to enterprises in the ceramic industry base.
