Recently, the company successfully won the bid for the project involving a 60,000-ton-per-year melamine process package for Jingyuan Coal Industry Group Liuhua Chemical Co., Ltd. Winning this process package bid represents a comprehensive recognition by the external chemical industry of the company’s process technology and design capabilities. The 60,000-ton per year melamine production project of Liuhua Chemical Co., Ltd., affiliated with Jingyuan Coal Industry Group, is a concrete manifestation of the implementation of the concepts related to ecological civilization as well as the spirit of the important speeches delivered during inspections in Gansu. It represents an important step in building modern, innovative energy enterprises that possess a solid foundation, a strong sense of responsibility, high quality standards, and a strategic vision, in line with the new stage of development. The total investment in the project is 5.425 billion yuan, covering an area of 839 mu. It will be constructed in two phases. Upon completion of the project, it will be able to process 1.72 million tons of raw coal per year, producing products such as 600,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, 700,000 tons of urea, 100,000 tons of methanol, 60,000 tons of melamine, and 50,000 tons of urea solutions. It is expected that the project will generate sales revenue of 2.7 billion yuan and total profits and taxes of 700 million yuan. Since its establishment, the Design and Research Institute of Sichuan Nengtou Construction Engineering Group has designed and participated in the construction of a total of 8 melamine production facilities, including the 26,000-ton-per-year melamine plant at Chuanhua and the 30,000-ton-per-year melamine plant at Jinhua. Recently, it successfully completed the design work for the 50,000-ton-per-year melamine section of the 480,000-ton-per-year high-quality potash fertilizer project (Phase I) undertaken by Guangxi Chuanhua Tianhe Co., Ltd. The institute boasts extensive design experience and a fine reputation within the industry.
In 1956, designers from the Sichuan Chemical Plant Design Office of the former Beijing Design Institute under the Ministry of Chemical Industry established the Design Section of the Sichuan Chemical Plant. As a witness to the glorious history of Qingbaijiang’s development “driven by the establishment of factories,” this entity underwent several name changes: it was renamed the Design Institute of Sichuan General Chemical Works, then the Design Institute of Chuanhua Group Co., Ltd., and later the Design Institute of Chuanhua Co., Ltd. In 2006, it was restructured into Sichuan Chuanhua Yongyu Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd. In 2018, it became a subsidiary of Sichuan Energy Construction Group and was renamed Sichuan Energy Investment Construction Group Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. Today, what used to be the Design Section of Sichuan Chemical Plant has evolved into a design and research institute with strong capabilities; its main business areas include chemical engineering, architectural design, pressure vessels, and piping. Good news has come from Sichuan Nengtou Construction Group Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., located in the Advanced Materials Industry Zone (hereinafter referred to as “Sichuan Nengtou Construction Group Design and Research Institute”). With approval from the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the institute has successfully obtained Class A qualification for engineering design in the chemical, petrochemical, and pharmaceutical industries (chemical engineering). This is another significant achievement for the institute, following its acquisition of Class A qualification in the construction industry (construction engineering); it represents yet another major breakthrough in terms of qualification development. Sichuan Nengtou Construction Group’s Research Institute has successfully achieved the “double first-class” goal! Sichuan Energy Investment Group Co., Ltd., the parent company of the Research Institute under Sichuan Nengtou Construction Group, was established on February 21, 2011, with a registered capital of 9.316 billion yuan.
