Zhengyuan Hydrogen Energy’s Waste Pressure Power Generation Improvement Project Author/Source: Lu’an Zhengyuan Group Date: 11-04-2021 Clicks: 18 To continuously enhance the competitiveness of Zhengyuan Hydrogen Energy and reduce consumption, technical improvements have been pursued in line with the overall industrial layout of the facility. Recently, a design company collaborated with Xi’an Gerui, with each party taking charge of engineering design and technical support respectively, to carry out a retrofit for waste pressure power generation on Zhengyuan Hydrogen Energy’s existing 7 large-scale circulating water cooling towers. While maintaining the normal operation of these cooling towers, the system utilizes changes in the pressure within their piping networks to drive 7 185KW turbine generators to produce electricity. The generator set is connected to the 10KV system of substation 313; the electricity generated is used for the company’s own needs and is not fed into the power grid. Upon completion of this project, based on the operational conditions of the circulating water cooling tower, the expected power generation capacity will be 500kwh to 1100kwh per hour. Assuming 7200 hours of operation per year, the annual power generation volume will be approximately 3.6 million kwh to 7.2 million kwh. Upon completion, Zhengyuan Hydrogen Energy will reduce its own electricity consumption, saving costs and gaining a competitive advantage in the industry.
