Yueneng Chemical’s coal-oil co-gasification system sets a new operating record Author/Source: Coal Chemical Industry Information Network Date: 2020-06-01 Clicks: 4 On the morning of May 27, Unit C of Yueneng Chemical’s methanol production facility’s coal-oil co-gasification system continued to operate for 53 days in a row, breaking the previous record held by Unit B, which had operated continuously for 52 days in 2018. A responsible official from the methanol department explained that operating a coal-oil co-gasification system is one of the specific measures taken by the company to address its operational difficulties. In accordance with the company’s unified arrangements and requirements, the center developed a specific operation plan and refined the operational requirements. During operation, the gasification unit improved the stability of system operation by optimizing the operating parameters of the gasification burners and stabilizing the inlet pressure and temperature of the heavy oil pump. Furthermore, in terms of operation management, this device enhances the control of the oil quality at the heavy oil pump inlet as well as on-site inspections, thereby further improving operational reliability. As of the time of writing, all operating parameters of the Set C coal-oil combined gasification unit are stable, and the effective gas components in the process gas are satisfactory. A responsible official from the methanol facility said that the facility will continue to strengthen its management, strictly implement technical and safety measures, and further enhance its capacity for long-term operation.
The operation cycle is less than two months – what could be the reason?
