On June 6, the Zhongan United project for producing 1.7 million tons per year of methanol and converted olefins passed the acceptance inspection for its safety facilities. Jiang Yong, Wu Xuebin, and Zhang Wei, the leaders of the company, its branches, and the project management department, along with evaluation experts, as well as leaders and relevant personnel from units such as Sinopec’s Safety Supervision Department, Great Wall Energy Chemicals, Huainan Emergency Management Bureau, the coal chemical industry park, the construction unit, and the evaluation agency, attended the evaluation meeting. After careful evaluation, the expert panel concluded that, in principle, it approves the completion acceptance of the safety facilities for the Zhong’an United 1.7 million tons per year methanol and converted olefins project. It also puts forward suggestions for further revisions and improvements to the evaluation report and the project site. Jiang Yong, Deputy General Manager of the company, General Manager of the Coal Chemicals Branch and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, expressed the company’s gratitude to the expert group for their hard work. He noted that since the Zhong’an United Coal Chemical Project completed the entire production process at the end of last July, it has maintained a good level of safety and performance during nearly a year of trial operation. Today’s inspection and evaluation of the safety facilities completion mark a solid foundation for Zhongan United Coal Chemicals to proceed to full-scale production and obtain the necessary safety production permits. Jiang Yong said that Zhongan United will implement all the corrective actions outlined in the list of issues prepared by the expert group without any delay. In its future operations, Zhongan United will, as always, earnestly fulfill its social responsibilities, fully implement the safety production responsibility system, and pay close attention to safety production efforts to ensure the long-term stability of coal chemical production.
