On June 13, a meeting to review the preliminary design for Henan Liyuan New Energy Technology Co., Ltd.’s 1.28 million tons per year coking and comprehensive utilization of coal gas project was held at Henan Liyuan Coal and Coke Group. Liyuan Group’s 2×1.28 million tons per year coking project is a key project in Henan Province. With a total investment of 2.6 billion yuan, the project is located in Li Village, Tongye Town, Yindu District, Anyang City. It was designed by Shandong Metallurgical Design Institute and Southwest Chemical Engineering Design Institute. The project involves the construction of 2×60-chamber 6.25m ramming coke ovens for the production of methanol and ethanol; in addition, supporting utility systems such as waste heat power generation from dry quenching of coke, desulfurization and denitrification, and advanced wastewater treatment are also being built. During the review, the design project team from Shandong Metallurgical Design Institute provided a detailed overview of the project’s general layout plan, overall technical solutions, and preliminary design status. Upon review, the expert committee unanimously agreed that the preliminary design documents for the project are basically complete, have reached the required level of detail for this stage of design, and meet the requirements for review ； The process selection and the choice of key equipment are advanced; the technology is mature and reliable, reaching a leading level in China and meeting the process requirements ； It complies with **, as well as relevant industry standards and specifications, in terms of construction scale, process selection, safety, environmental protection, and energy conservation. The expert committee approved the preliminary design review of the project; the feedback from the review, after being supplemented and refined, can serve as a basis for the detailed design in the next stage. In accordance with the requirements set out in the \"Notice from the Office of the People’s Government of Anyang City on Issuing the Implementation Plan for the Integration of Resources in the Coking Industry in Anyang City,\" it is necessary to phase out the existing 4.3-meter coke ovens and carry out upgrades to upgrade the equipment. Liyuan Group plans to build a coking and comprehensive gas utilization facility with an annual production capacity of 1.28 million tons. This facility will include 2×60-chamber coke ovens with a height of 6.25 meters, as well as plants for producing methanol and ethanol. It will also feature supporting facilities such as coal preparation systems, coke processing systems, dry quenching systems, gas purification systems, coke wastewater treatment systems, as well as facilities for desulfurization and denitrification of coke oven flue gas, along with environmental protection and auxiliary production facilities. Main process flow: Coal delivered by train and truck → Coal storage and preparation room → Crushing → Coke oven → Coke and gas → Coke treatment system, coke oven gas purification system → Methanol synthesis section → Ethanol synthesis section.
