Implementation of 3,000 tons/day multi-nozzle pulverized coal gasification industrial demonstration / Author/Source: Multi-Nozzle / Date: 2020-04-19 / Clicks: 55 On April 15, a review meeting for the new 3,000 tons/day OMB pulverized coal gasification industrial demonstration process package was held in Conference Room 10 of Building No. 1 by Yankuang Group Company. Meng Xiangjun, Chief Engineer of the Group Company; Ren Yi, Assistant to the General Manager, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Chemicals Company; Zhou Gang, Deputy Chief Engineer at the Group Company’s Technology and Quality Center; Liu Qiang, Deputy General Manager of the Chemicals Company, Party Secretary and Chairman of our company; Zhang Zhiwei, Deputy Chief Engineer of the Chemicals Company; Han Fei, Deputy Head of the Technology and Engineering Department; Zhang Ling, Party Deputy Secretary and General Manager of our company; Li Zhiyuan, Deputy General Manager; Liang Xuemei, Chief Engineer; Yuan Minglei, Deputy Chief Engineer; Sun Xinghui, Chief Mechanic; as well as relevant officials from the Yankuang Slurry Coal Gasification and Coal Chemicals Engineering Research Center and Yankuang Guotuo Technology Engineering Company, attended the meeting. Chu Hongchun, Assistant to the General Manager of the Group Company; Jin Junjie, Chief Engineer of the Chemicals Company; Wang Fuchen, Professor at East China University of Science and Technology; Lin Binbin, Chief Engineer of China Tianchen Engineering Co., Ltd.; Chen Yongxian, Deputy Chief Engineer of the Chemicals Company; Lü Chuanlei, Chairman of the Research Institute for Water-Coal Slurry Gasification and Coal Chemicals Projects of Yankuang; Jin Gang, Researcher at the Research Institute for Water-Coal Slurry Gasification and Coal Chemicals Projects of Yankuang; Ding Zhenwei, Deputy Chief Engineer of Guizhou Yufu Energy Development Co., Ltd.; and Cao Xuedong, former senior engineer at Guizhou Kaiyang Chemical Company – these nine individuals served as experts on the evaluation committee. At the review meeting, Meng Xiangjun, the chief engineer of the group company, and Ren Yi, the assistant to the general manager of the group company, as well as the Party secretary and chairman of the Chemicals Company, delivered speeches respectively. They extend a warm welcome and sincere gratitude to all the leaders and experts who have taken the time to come to Yankuang to provide guidance on the work! We also earnestly request that all leaders and experts offer their valuable opinions and suggestions, so as to ensure that the project is technically feasible, yields significant benefits, fosters cooperative development, and achieves mutual benefit and win-win outcomes. To maintain our country’s international leadership in coal gasification technology and make positive contributions to the clean and efficient utilization of coal! Meng Xiangjun noted that in recent years, Yankuang Group has made significant progress in the research and development of gasification technologies as well as their industrial application. In 2014 and 2019, it established industrial demonstration projects for coal slurry gasification using multi-nozzle opposed-type systems with a daily coal processing capacity of 3,000 tons and 4,000 tons respectively at Rongxin Chemical. The coal slurry hot-wall furnace gasification technology developed by Yankuang Group boasts international leadership in terms of intellectual property. At present, Yankuang Group is actively planning a 4 million tons per year coal indirect liquefaction project in Yulin, as well as an 800,000 tons per year coal-to-olefins project and a 5 million tons per year coal indirect liquefaction project in Xinjiang. It is using the 3,000 tons per day OMB new-type pulverized coal gasification industrial demonstration project of Lunan Chemical as a pilot project for its western development initiatives, and is accelerating its implementation. This approach serves both to provide a model for the on-site conversion and clean, efficient utilization of low-grade, low-quality coal in Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia, and Xinjiang regions while accumulating relevant experience, and it also constitutes an important measure to achieve coordination in terms of resources, technology, and industries across different regions within the group company. Ren Yi pointed out that Yankuang Group has inherent advantages in developing coal gasification projects. The 3,000 tons/day OMB powder coal gasification industrial demonstration project is a strategic flagship initiative of Yankuang Group to seize strategic opportunities, carry out major projects for the transformation from old to new drivers of economic development, strengthen and optimize its high-end coal chemical industry as a key sector, and achieve strategic advancement through a shift in development approach. “During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Yankuang Group will build modern integrated coal chemical industry bases in Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia, and Xinjiang. As a pilot project for western development, this project holds great strategic significance for the high-quality development of Yankuang’s chemical industry in the future.
