On July 11, the first piece of equipment in the PSA unit of the syngas purification system for the gasification and purification project at Yulin Chemical Company, Shaanxi Coal Group – namely the pressure relief buffer tank – was successfully lifted, marking the advance of on-site construction of this PSA unit into the equipment installation phase. The total weight of the sequential venting buffer tank equipment is 20.26 tons; it belongs to Category II pressure vessels, and is lifted using a 260-ton crawler crane for the main lifting operation and a 75-ton truck crane for the auxiliary lifting. To ensure a smooth and orderly equipment lifting process, the project’s professional engineers and the general contractor’s staff strictly followed the requirements of the construction plan. They organized seminars on lifting safety plans as well as training sessions, during which technical parameters, construction methods, and safety measures for the lifting process were discussed in detail. Before lifting, personnel in various positions carefully inspect all types of tools, equipment, and lifting machinery to ensure that safety control measures related to people, machines, materials, and the environment at the site are properly implemented. At the same time, coordinate with the general contractor to complete the civil engineering and safety work for the equipment foundations. It is reported that the PSA units for syngas purification consist of a total of 48 units; the first 3 units have been successfully lifted, and the remaining 45 units will arrive one after another, with the entire installation expected to be completed by the end of July.
