The chemical production section of the project includes a total of 13 production units, such as an ethylene plant, an ethylene oxide/ethylene glycol plant, an ethylbenzene/styrene plant, 2 high-density polyethylene plants, a full-density polyethylene plant, 2 polypropylene plants, a hydrogen peroxide plant/propylene oxide plant, a polyether polyol plant, a butadiene extraction plant, a pyrolysis gasoline hydrogenation complex, and a C4 complex. This project is a major initiative under the Belt and Road Initiative between China and Saudi Arabia, and has been included in the ** plan. The project is located in the Liaobin Coastal Economic and Technological Development Zone in Panjin City, Liaoning Province, covering an area of 8.9 square kilometers, with completion of the mechanical installations expected by 2025. After the project is implemented, it will drive the construction of a series of supporting projects along the upstream and downstream industrial chains, fostering a development pattern characterized by high-end polyolefins as well as the clustered growth of industries such as new materials and new energy. Beifang Huajin United Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as Huajin United Petrochemical) was established in December 2020, with capital contributed jointly by Beifang Huajin Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China North Industries Group Corporation, and Panjin Xincheng Industrial Group Co., Ltd.; its registered capital amounts to 24.9 billion yuan.
