Construction begins on coking project of Shanxi Sunshine Group Ankun New Energy Co., Ltd. Author/Source: Huahua Net Coal Chemicals Date: 2020-07-15 Clicks: 14 On July 12, the pouring of the concrete cushion for the western section of the body of Furnace No. 2 began for the civil engineering and installation work related to Furnaces No. 1 and No. 2 in this 3.69 million t/a coking project, marking the official start of construction on this project. The Ankun New Energy project of Shanxi Sunshine Coking Group, which has an annual production capacity of 3.69 million tons and a carbonization chamber height of 6.78 meters for producing rammed coke, is part of the industrial transformation and upgrading initiatives under the 1311 key projects in Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province. Following intense preparations, the project is now fully underway. In order to gather the elements necessary for production, Sunlight Coking Group carried out strategic adjustments by combining the Ankun New Energy project, which involves the construction of a coke oven with an annual production capacity of 1.5 million tons and a chamber height of 6.78 meters as part of the 1311 major industrial transformation and upgrading project; the Sunlight Huatai project, which involves the upgrade of a coke oven with an annual production capacity of 1.1 million tons and a chamber height of 6.25 meters using regenerative heating; and the Sunlight Coking project, which involves the upgrade of a coke oven with an annual production capacity of 1.09 million tons and a chamber height of 6.25 meters. These projects were merged to form the Sunlight Ankun New Energy project, which features a coke oven with an annual production capacity of 3.69 million tons and a chamber height of 6.78 meters. The total investment in this project is 3.98 billion yuan. It is located in Dujiagou Village, Hejin City, Shanxi Province. The main scope of work for this project includes the coke oven production area, along with related civil engineering and installation tasks. The auxiliary facilities of the project mainly consist of sewage treatment systems, water supply and drainage systems, circulating water systems, cooling stations, and flue gas desulfurization and denitration systems for coke ovens. The coking system mainly consists of 4 coke ovens with 70 chambers each, a height of 6.78 m and a single-heating type ramming process; two quenching systems capable of handling 230 t per hour, and one wet quenching system. The 6.78m single-heating extra-large ramming coke oven was independently developed and designed by MCC Coke & Refractory. Shanxi Yangguang Coking Group Co., Ltd. is located in the provincial-level economic and technological development zone of Hejin City, Shanxi Province, and serves as the main entity responsible for the construction of the six \"10-million-ton-level coking production bases\" in Shanxi Province. Annual coal production is 5 million tons, annual raw coal processing is 8 million tons, annual coke production is 5 million tons, annual gas supply for external use is 1 billion cubic meters, and annual electricity generation is 800 million kWh. At the same time, the group is capable of processing 1.08 million tons of coal tar per year, producing 500,000 tons of carbon black annually, and processing 100,000 tons of anthracene oil; it also manufactures over 40 types of chemical products such as pure anthracene, carbazole, and anthraquinone.
