(2) Nature of construction: Renovation and expansion. (3) Construction scale: Annual production capacity of 700,000 tons of polyolefins. (4) Construction location: Jiuyuan Industrial Park, Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. (5) Investment: The total investment for the project is approximately 17,150,806.1 thousand yuan. (6) Construction period: The construction period is 4 years. (7) Annual operating hours: 8,000 hours. (8) Production system and staffing: The company’s administrative staff, senior production managers, and logistics personnel are considered to work in the day shift, while the production department is organized in a five-shift, three-shift operation format based on the characteristics of production and the requirements of operational processes. According to the preliminary plans and the existing site allocation options for the plant, the Shenhua Baotou coal-to-olefins upgrading demonstration project will be located within the existing factory and on the south side of its premises; the ash dump outside the factory will be situated near the west side of the existing ash dump. The main products and intermediate products of this project include MTO-grade methanol, polymer-grade ethylene, polymer-grade propylene, sulfur, MTBE, butene-1, polypropylene, polyethylene, etc.
