Representatives from this company, Zhao Zhen, a senior engineer at China National Coal Group Ordos Energy and Chemical Company, officials from relevant departments in the Sulihe Economic Development Zone, and leaders of some villages in Tuk Town attended the meeting. The project invested and constructed by Inner Mongolia Baofeng Coal-based New Materials Co., Ltd. is located in the Tuk Industrial Zone of the Sulihe Economic Development Zone. With a total investment of 673,654,500 yuan, this project enables the efficient and clean conversion of coal; it offers significant advantages in terms of water savings and carbon reduction, and it brings good economic benefits. It contributes to the sustainable development of the regional economy and society. Therefore, it is essential to make rational use of the coal resources in Ordos. It involves making use of the regional resource advantages to develop the coal chemical industry for the production of oil substitutes, thereby facilitating a partial transformation of Ordos’ coal resources from \"fuel\" to \"raw material\" and helping to cover the domestic gap in oil supply and demand; it is one of the effective ways to address the shortage of oil resources. It conforms both to **energy development policies and** environmental protection requirements, and is a project of great significance for the sustainable development of coal chemical industry in Ordos.
