Dongxinyuan Chemical Company is a large-scale modern coal chemical enterprise built by Shaanxi Coal Group in the energy base of northern Shaanxi. It places strong emphasis on technological innovation to drive high-quality development; it has been recognized as a high-tech enterprise in Shaanxi Province, as well as a provincial-level enterprise technology center and a Yulin city-level enterprise technology center. From 2020 to 2021, it was listed among the top 500 companies in the petroleum and chemical industry nationwide for two consecutive years. In recent years, Dongxinyuan Company has adhered to the philosophy that \"scientific management plus science and technology are the primary driving forces for development.\" Relying on its own technical capabilities, it has focused on the key technologies underlying the clean and efficient utilization of coal – such as comprehensive pyrolysis of raw coal, hydrogen production from waste gas without conversion, power generation through the combined combustion of waste gas and solid waste, improvements in coal tar hydrogenation processes, as well as the targeted treatment of wastewater and waste gas. The company has continuously worked on advancing these technologies and improving related processes, and through practical application and optimized integration, it has achieved good results. A series of innovative key technologies for the clean and efficient utilization of coal have been developed, enabling such utilization on a sustainable basis. These technologies serve as a model for the green, low-carbon, and high-end development of the industry. The main achievements of the project have won 1 first prize and 2 second prizes in the Shaanxi Province Petrochemical Science and Technology Progress Awards, 2 third prizes in the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation Science and Technology Progress Awards, 2 second prizes and 2 third prizes in the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Innovation Management Achievement Awards.
