Recently, a team led by Xu Zhanjun, the deputy secretary-general of the Shanxi Coking Industry Association and a senior engineer on the expert committee of the China Coking Industry Association, went to Zhongyang County in Shanxi Province to conduct an on-site inspection of the coal chemical industry park in Zhike Town. At the site designated for the coal chemical industry park in Zhike Town, the expert team conducted a detailed examination of the project planning as well as aspects such as land use, transportation, environment, electricity supply, and water supply. They also carried out on-site research to assess the feasibility of the coal-electricity-aluminum integrated circular economy project in Zhongyang County. The Zhike Coal Chemical Industry Park is located in the \"Golden Triangle\" area at the junction of Zhongyang, Fenyang, and Xiaoyi. Its planned area covers 6.517 square kilometers, and it is primarily composed of the Houshiyu area and the Shizhuang area. To date, the park has completed the preliminary work, including the relocation of power and communication lines, the construction of access roads, and the establishment of a 35 kV substation. This year, infrastructure construction such as the Fen Highway within the park and a 5 million cubic meter reservoir for diverting water from the Yellow River will also be launched, providing strong support for the commencement of project construction and the operational needs once production starts. Zhongyang County Coal-Electricity-Aluminum Integrated Circular Economy Project. Project location: Zhike Industrial Park, Zhongyang County. Project type: Modern coal chemical industry. Total investment: 13.5 billion yuan. Project area: 5,000 mu. Production capacity: 1 million tons per year of alumina, 500,000 tons per year of electrolytic aluminum, and 600,000 tons per year of processed aluminum-magnesium alloys. Construction details: This project is to be funded and constructed by Shanxi Taoyuan Tengyang Energy Group Co., Ltd., which serves as the main entity responsible for the aluminum-electricity project. Based on coal and bauxite resources and supported by electricity (the power grid), through the comprehensive utilization of waste residues generated during the production process, a complete circular economy industry chain of coal-electricity-aluminum-high-energy metallurgy-deep processing of aluminum-magnesium alloys is established. This year, Zhongyang County has resumed the construction of projects for processing 4.5 million tons of coal, producing 2.2 million tons of coke, and manufacturing 200,000 tons of methanol. At the same time, it is striving to create an industrial cluster focused on the circular economy in the fields of coal, coke, steel, and coal chemicals. By using the Zhike and Shangjiayu industrial parks as platforms, the county is attracting investment, carrying out capacity replacement, and utilizing mechanisms such as \"enclave economics\" to enable Luba Group to establish a cluster for advanced coal chemical processing and related industries within these parks, thus forming complete industrial clusters for coal-coke-steel-materials, coal-electricity-aluminum-materials, and advanced coal chemical products.
