At present, the main structures of the caprolactam refining and ammonium sulfate plants, as well as the dilute product section of the hydrogen peroxide plant, have been completed; the construction of the main production units such as on-site hydrogen production, ammonia synthesis, and ammonia oximation is progressing in an orderly manner. The project is scheduled to be completed and put into trial operation in the first half of next year, and once fully operational, it will become a major production base for caprolactam worldwide. Yongrong Technology’s caprolactam project: The caprolactam project of Fujian Yongrong Technology Co., Ltd. is located in the Shimen’ao Industrial Park, Dongzhuang Town, Xiuyu District, Putian City, Fujian Province. With a total investment of 14.876 billion yuan, the project is divided into two phases. The first phase, which involves a production capacity of 200,000 tons per year of caprolactam, was completed and put into operation by the end of 2017; after technical upgrades, the production capacity was increased to 280,000 tons per year. Phase 2 involves an investment of 8 billion yuan for 300,000 tons per year of caprolactam and 400,000 tons per year of sulfuric acid. The project mainly produces caprolactam and by-products such as sulfuric acid. Caprolactam is an important raw material for producing engineering plastics, synthetic fibers, insulating materials, and other products.
