Clicks: 37. ✦ Henan Jinkai Chemical Investment Holding Group Co., Ltd. ✦ Company overview: Henan Jinkai Chemical Investment Holding Group Co., Ltd. is Jinmei Group’s first coal chemical subsidiary outside Shanxi Province, with its headquarters located in Kaifeng. To expand production capacity and enhance the company’s competitiveness, Jinkai Branch 2 was established in 2008 to start planning a project for producing one million tons of ammonia annually. The project was officially put into operation in 2012. It utilizes aerospace pulverized coal pressurized gasification technology and is equipped with four Φ2800mm/Φ3200mm aerospace gasifier systems. Each gasifier is designed to handle a daily coal input of 1,350 tons. The plant produces 120 kt/year of ammonia, 120 kt/year of urea, 81 kt/year of dilute nitric acid, 80 kt/year of adipic acid, 60 kt/year of nitro compound fertilizer, and 20 kt/year of concentrated nitric acid. All processes, technologies, and equipment employed in the project are among the most advanced both internationally and domestically. Requirements for technical equipment: 1. An efficient piece of equipment for syngas separation. 2. A stable and reliable pressure boosting device. 3. An online analytical instrument capable of continuously monitoring syngas components. Description of the current project status: 1. During operation, the scrubber causes severe water and ash leakage into the downstream system ; It can easily lead to an increase in back-system resistance, thereby affecting the system load and its stable operation over long periods of time. 2. Currently, the selected high-pressure gray water pump has a high rotational speed; it is prone to cavitation, its impeller is susceptible to erosion, it has a high failure rate, and the maintenance costs are high. 3. Online analysis of syngas often yields inaccurate results; after treatment by the pretreatment system, it fails to meet the requirements of chromatographic techniques. Expected project objectives: 1. Utilize new separation technologies to address the issue of water and ash carried from the scrubber tower to downstream systems, ensuring that the solid content in the treated syngas is less than 1 mg/Nm3. 2. For the current production process, selecting other liquid pressure-boosting and conveying equipment that meets the process requirements, operates stably, and has a low failure rate as replacement products can ensure continuous and stable operation for over one year. 3. For the current gasification process in space-based furnaces, improve the pretreatment system for on-line synthesis gas analysis or adopt on-line analysis equipment capable of handling water and ash content, in order to enable real-time analysis and provide reliable data for the operation of the gasification furnace at all times. At the time, it was the first pulverized coal pressurized gasification unit using high-ash, high-sulfur, and high-calorific coal as feedstock. To a certain extent, it expands the range of coal types that can be used in space furnaces. Over the six years of operation, some differences have emerged in terms of process parameters and equipment performance compared to the lignite firing unit. Through continuous process improvements such as modifications to the gas synthesis pipeline, the addition of new cyclone separators, and the installation of a new slag water system, the operation of the pulverized coal unit in the space furnace is now more stable compared to the initial stage of operation; however, it still lags behind other similar projects. There are still some issues that require further research and resolution: the high failure rate of existing coal mills, the short operating life of the feed pumps in the scrubber towers due to their complex structure, and the limited service life of the slag skimmers. Technical equipment requirements: 1. Seek a type of coal grinder suitable for anthracite, one that is compatible with the materials used for anti-wear components, and consider the service life of these anti-wear components. 2. Due to issues with the type of coal, the scrubber feed pump is performing poorly. Is there a better structural design that can be used as a replacement? Additionally, are there any effective water treatment chemicals that can improve water quality, thereby reducing the failure rate of the scrubber feed pump? 3. The service life of the slag extractor chain scrapers is relatively short; materials for such scrapers that are suitable for Jincheng coal are being sought. Description of the current project status: 1. Currently, a medium-speed coal grinder MPS235 is in use; over the past few years, it has exhibited problems such as a short operating cycle, operation at the upper limit of its design parameters, and a high failure rate. 2. The high-pressure gray water pump is a horizontal high-speed centrifugal pump manufactured by the 11th Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology. It has a short operating cycle; its impeller, inducer, and diffuser become severely fouled. After approximately 15 days of operation, it deviates from its designed operating point and requires maintenance. 3. The chain scraper of the slag extractor has a short service life and needs to be replaced after 7–8 months of use. Expected project objectives: 1. The coal grinder is suitable for Jincheng anthracite, with the service life of its grinding components being around 8,000 hours, meaning it requires maintenance every two years. 2. The operating cycle of the scrubber feed pump is 6 months. 3. The service life of the chains and scrapers in the slag remover is approximately 18 months. The production capacities and commissioning dates of these boilers are as follows: one 130 t/h boiler was put into service in 2008, while two 150 t/h boilers were commissioned in 2011. Plagued by issues such as the easy wear and tear of water-cooled walls, the boiler has a short operating cycle and low steam generation capacity, sometimes adversely affecting downstream steam users. Technical equipment requirements: To address the issue of wear susceptibility in the water wall of circulating fluidized bed boilers, effective and reliable anti-wear technologies and measures are sought ; Improve the efficiency of the cyclone separator and the recycling ratio, and reduce the residual carbon in fly ash. Achieve long-term, high-efficiency operation of the boiler. Current status of the project: Anhui Jinmei Zhongneng Company currently has three circulating fluidized bed boilers. Since their commissioning, they have been restricted by excessively high bed temperatures, making it difficult to operate at full load. After 9 years of operation, the boiler’s load-carrying capacity declines; a 150t/h boiler can only handle around 80% of its rated load, with an operational cycle of 80–120 days. The main reason for the short operation cycle is leakage caused by wear of the furnace water wall. Expected project goal: The boiler will be able to operate at full capacity ; The operation cycle lasts for over half a year. Project leader and contact information: omitted. Contact person and contact information: omitted. ✦ Anhui Jinmei Zhongneng Chemical Co., Ltd. ✦ Company overview: As described above. Technical equipment requirements: The resins used in the hydrogen peroxide purification process mainly include strongly acidic cation exchange resins, strongly basic anion exchange resins, chelating resins, halogen-containing porous resins, and hydrophilic porous resins. Multiple resin beds are connected in series, each used to remove organic impurities, metal ion impurities, and non-alkaline metal ion impurities, thereby producing high-purity electronic-grade hydrogen peroxide that meets the requirements of the semiconductor industry. To achieve resins of the highest UPSS grade, imports are still required, as domestic production is not capable of meeting such standards at present. Project status description: Electronic-grade hydrogen peroxide is a high-purity aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide, and it is a very important process chemical in the electronics industry. Since RCA (Radio Corporation of America) developed the RCA cleaning method for cleaning silicon wafers in 1965, along with the rapid development of the electronics industry, electron-grade hydrogen peroxide has also seen rapid growth, particularly as integrated circuits have become smaller and their processing speeds have increased. Common methods for producing electronic-grade hydrogen peroxide include distillation, resin adsorption, membrane separation, etc. Due to the inherent limitations of each method, distillation often can only achieve reagent-grade standards ; Due to its inherent characteristics, membrane separation methods have difficulty in exhibiting resistance to strong oxidation, thus being considerably limited in practical applications ; The resin adsorption method can produce high-purity hydrogen peroxide, with the highest grade reaching UPSS. The level that current domestic production technology can achieve is UP grade, which can only be used in the production of solar panels and liquid crystal displays; the technology required for semiconductor grade has not yet been developed. Expected goals of the project: At present, the level that can be achieved with domestic production technology is the UP grade. Once the production technology becomes more advanced, efforts will be made to move towards the higher-end UPSS grade for semiconductor applications, in order to reach the highest possible semiconductor standard and meet the current domestic demand. Since May 2018, Hubei Sanning Company has been managing Jinhuarun Company under a trusteeship arrangement. Technical equipment requirements: By utilizing advanced gasification technologies, the existing fixed-bed gasification units should be further upgraded in order to explore paths for high-quality development. 1. Seek intercooling modification techniques for the fixed-bed process, carry out environmental-friendly upgrades to the current fixed-bed gasification processes, and develop customized systems for the purification of multiple pollutants generated during coal-to-gas production. 2. Application of the pressurized gasification process. Project status description: The urea plant uses an alcohol-alkylation process for ammonia synthesis, with gas production via a fixed-bed gasification process; currently, there are 24 fixed-bed gasifiers with a diameter of Ø2800mm. In May 2018, Hubei Sanning Company took over the management of Jinhuarun Company and carried out comprehensive reforms, resulting in an overall upgrade in safety, environmental protection, processes, and equipment. Although managed operations have achieved certain results, enabling Jinhua Run Company to turn losses into profits, due to historical reasons, there is still a significant gap between the company and the more advanced enterprises in the same industry, as well as compared to the requirements set by the group company ; **Driven by environmental protection policies and industrial policy adjustments aimed at high-quality development, it is urgent to upgrade the existing fixed-bed gasification processes. Expected project goals: Under the current conditions, Jinhua Run Company’s expected goals are as follows: First, it is possible to adopt the cooling renovation model used in Dongguang Chemical’s Second Plant’s fixed-bed process units; by using a renovation approach that requires minimal investment and yields quick results, the existing fixed-bed gasification process can be upgraded to meet environmental standards. Secondly, in line with Jinhua Run Company’s long-term development goals, and with the support and assistance of Jinmei Group and Jinshi Group, the existing fixed-bed gasification process can be upgraded through the use of pressure swing gasification technology, thereby enabling Jinhua Run Company to achieve sustainable high-quality development. After thorough evaluation of the above two proposals, we aim to get them approved at an early date. Project leader and contact information: omitted.
