On August 4, the construction of Furnace No. 2 for the 1.4 million-ton/year coking plant at Shanxi Lu’an Coking Co., Ltd., which features coke ovens with a chamber height of 6.25 meters, started on schedule in accordance with the established construction plan. The 2# coke oven construction project is a key component of the Lu’an 1.4 million-ton coking plant construction, and it also serves as an important indicator of the overall progress of the project. Since the commencement of the 140-project in February this year, the construction of Blast Furnace No. 2 has been regarded as a top priority in the overall project development; it is planned, deployed, managed, and advanced in conjunction with related projects such as silos, chimneys, and coal towers. The total investment in this project is approximately 1.856 billion yuan. It is located within the Lucheng Economic and Technological Development Zone in Changzhi City (formerly the Lubao Park of the Lucheng Coal Chemical Circular Economy Cluster). The main construction components include 2 ×60-chamber JNDX3-6.25 single-heating type ramming coke ovens, along with 1 ×175t/h dry quenching system and 1 ×25MW waste heat power generation unit; there is also a backup set for wet quenching and related supporting facilities. In addition, an oxygen-enriched coke oven gas purification plant with a capacity of 80,000 Nm3/h will be built.
