World’s largest coal-based clean industrial gas project begins supplying gas to users Author/Source: Coal Chemical Industry 114 Forum Date: December 14, 2020 Views: 6 At 7:09 on December 13, 2020, the first ceramic manufacturing enterprise in the Jiangxi Building Ceramics Industry Base, Samsung Ceramic Factory, successfully received Jimin Kexin clean industrial gas and ignited it, marking the official start of gas supply to 45 ceramic production companies within the Ga’an Building Ceramics Industry Base. This follows approximately 5 months of testing and commissioning work; it marks the beginning of centralized gas supply in this industry base. As planned, the project will supply gas to the first batch of 12 ceramic enterprises today. The successful commencement of gas supply for the Jimin Kexin industrial gas project has completely resolved the environmental constraints hindering the development of the building ceramics industry in Gao’an, ushering this industry into a new stage of historical development. The Jimin Kexin Clean Industrial Gas project complies with relevant industrial policies and environmental protection requirements. By promoting the development of clean energy and environmental protection industries, it plays an important role in advancing the circular transformation of industrial parks, optimizing the energy structure, and improving the ecological environment. It helps realize the green vision for the ceramic manufacturing industry in Gao’an, making significant contributions to ensuring that ceramic production enterprises meet environmental emission standards. As the general contractor and chief design agency for this project, China Wuhuan Company closely coordinates with the owner’s gas supply schedule, making advance arrangements with patent holders, commissioning units, construction subcontractors, and key suppliers. It requires these parties to assign specialized personnel to be on site 24/7 to carry out comprehensive monitoring of the operational parameters. The project team implemented the company’s refined management systems thoroughly in the project execution process, establishing a robust organizational structure to ensure the stable operation of gas supply to external clients. This structure provided strong support for stability during the operation phase, guaranteeing seamless performance throughout the entire process of delivering gas from the project. The Jimin Kexin industrial gas project is divided into 4 series, equipped with a total of 16 atmospheric-pressure circulating fluidized bed gasifiers, designed to produce 9 billion Nm3 of clean industrial gas with a calorific value of 1500 kcal/Nm3 per year. All the equipment and devices used in this project are of domestic manufacture. Once completed, it will become the world’s largest coal-based clean industrial gas project, providing strong momentum for the development of new economic activities in the region and facilitating rapid industrial upgrading. It holds milestone significance in the history of transformation and sustainable development of the ceramics industry. This project consists of a gasification unit, waste heat and energy recovery power generation units, air separation units, utility systems and auxiliary facilities, as well as a gas pipeline network within the park. The gasification unit uses the CXL6000I circulating fluidized bed oxygen-enriched gasifier, which was jointly developed by the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Huangtai Gas Furnace Co., Ltd.; there are a total of 16 such gasifiers with a capacity of 72,000 Nm3/h each ； The waste heat and waste energy power generation unit includes 3 130T boilers, 3 N45 turbines, and 1 C25 turbine ； The air separation unit consists of 2×32,000 capacity air separation units and 1 set of 6,000 Nm3/h all-liquid air separation unit; these three air separation units share two 16,000 KW electrically driven isothermal centrifugal raw air compressors. Located in Gao’an City, known as the \"China Building Ceramic Industry Base,\" this project aims to optimize the energy structure of this industrial base, promote circular transformation within the park, develop clean energy and environmental protection industries, and foster healthy and balanced economic and social development in the region. Jimin Xinkai Group has invested in the construction of a centralized supply system for clean industrial gas at this location. The project is carried out by Jimin Xinkai (Gao’an) Clean Energy Co., Ltd., with a total investment of around 6.5 billion yuan. It covers an area of over 1,600 mu, and it is planned to build a facility capable of producing 13 billion Nm3 of clean industrial gas per year, with a heat value of 1,500 kcal/Nm3; meanwhile, a power generation project utilizing waste heat and energy will also be established.
