A special meeting on the pre-review of the foundation design for Shaanxi Coal Group Yulin Chemical’s 1.8 million tons per year ethylene glycol gasification unit was successfully held. On August 6, a special meeting regarding the pre-review of the foundation design for Shaanxi Coal Group Yulin Chemical’s 1.8 million tons per year ethylene glycol production facility was held successfully. Special experts, as well as technical personnel from relevant fields at Colin Future Energy (Beijing) Co., Ltd., China Tianchen Engineering Co., Ltd., and Shaanxi Coal Group Yulin Chemical, attended the meeting. At the meeting, the process package design concepts and technical solutions from the development company and the design institute were presented. The experts conducted a thorough review and discussion based on the basic design documents for the gasification unit provided by the design institute, and ultimately put forward 77 optimization suggestions. The gasification unit of Yulin Chemical’s 1.8 million tons per year ethylene glycol production project, operated by Shaanxi Coal Group, uses 5 Colin CCG pulverized coal gasifiers with a daily coal feeding capacity of 2,000 tons each; the effective dry-base gas output per gasifier is 140,000 cubic meters per hour. This preliminary review of the basic design lays the foundation for the subsequent detailed design work.
