A few days ago, a symposium was held regarding the EPC project for the 40 t/a ethylene glycol concentrated brine treatment unit as part of the first phase of the 1.2 million t/a coal-based ethylene glycol production facility owned by Shaanxi Yulin Energy Group’s Shaanxi Yueneng Chemical Materials Co., Ltd. Zhang Jixiao, chairman of Yueneng Chemical, Guo Xiaoguang, deputy general manager of Aerospace Architectural Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., Huang Dexi, chairman of Hebei Delong Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd., and other relevant officials attended the meeting. The EPC general contracting project for the concentrated brine treatment unit of Shaanxi Yueneng Chemical Materials Co., Ltd.’s coal-based ethylene glycol production project is located in the Qingshui Industrial Park of Yushen Industrial Zone in Yulin City, Shaanxi Province, with a contract value of 136 million yuan. Upon completion of the project, it will become a benchmark zero-emission project in China’s coal chemical industry. The concentrated brine treatment system for the first-phase 400,000-t/year coal-based ethylene glycol project of Shaanxi Yueneng Chemical Materials Co., Ltd. is used to treat concentrated brine resulting from RO treatment of recycled water, as well as the regenerated wastewater from the desalination plant. The design capacity of this treatment unit is 210 m3/h, with an annual operating time of 8,400 hours; it is capable of operating at loads ranging from 50% to 110%.
