Pu Jienenghua’s protection device for temperature and humidity sensors at the inlet of bag dust collectors has been granted a **utility model patent. Recently, the “Protection Device for Temperature and Humidity Sensors at the Inlet of Bag Dust Collectors,” designed and modified by the technical team at the company’s Instrumentation and Maintenance Center, received a utility model patent certificate issued by the **Intellectual Property Office. This new technology is applied in the protection of temperature and humidity probes, **thereby extending their service life.** It is understood that all 4 bag filters used to filter flue gas dust in the company’s boiler systems are equipped with temperature and humidity sensors at the inlet of the flue ducts. Initially, these sensors were installed directly inside the flue ducts; however, due to the strong corrosiveness of the boiler exhaust gas and its high flow rate, the sensors suffered severe corrosion and wear, resulting in an average service life of no more than 4 months for these sensors. During the modification, technicians installed a protection device for the temperature and humidity sensors, which consisted of sleeves, sensor fixing brackets, and fixing flanges, thereby changing the original measurement method in which the sensors directly measured the flue gas and were exposed to its abrasive and corrosive effects, to a method in which the sensors still directly measure the flue gas but are not subjected to such abrasive and corrosive effects. This protection device addresses the issue of high damage rates to temperature and humidity sensors in actual use, which is caused by inserting the probes of electronic components directly into high-ash content high-speed flue gas. It not only reduces the damage to the sensors caused by high temperatures but also protects them from abrasive wear. The probe’s electronic components overcome the effects of complex operating conditions; they are easy to install and maintain, respond quickly, have a low failure rate, strong interference resistance, and can operate efficiently during normal operation. With the application of this technology, the service life of the temperature and humidity sensors at the inlet of the bag filters in the company’s boiler systems can now reach up to one year. The significant extension of the lifespan of these sensors reduces production and maintenance costs while improving energy efficiency, thus contributing greatly to cost reduction and efficiency enhancement.
