Progress on the Construction of the Energy-Saving Technology Upgrade Project for Yuyanhua Gasification. Author/Source: Gasification World. Date: July 28, 2021. Clicks: 37. From July 21 to 24, 2021, in order to meet the schedule requirements of the energy-saving technology upgrade project for Yuyanhua gasification and to ensure design quality and proper control, a review meeting was held at China Wuhuan Engineering Co., Ltd. to examine the 60% 3D model of the external components related to this industrial upgrade project. Xie Quanfu, deputy general manager of China Five Rings Engineering Co., Ltd., and Yan Shuanghua, project manager; Wei Min, secretary of the Party committee and chairman of Chongqing Xiangyu Salt Chemical Co., Ltd., Peng Jianqiang, deputy general manager; as well as relevant professionals from the industrial upgrading department and related patent holders, all attended this review meeting. At the meeting, Wei Min, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Xiangyu Salt Chemical Company, demanded that: 1. All professionals must exercise strict oversight and carefully verify the 60% 3D models ; 2. For the model, it is necessary to check whether the basic piping layout matches the PID diagram and whether the flow direction of the medium is correct ; 3. It is necessary to check whether the positioning and design of the interfaces related to the equipment in the model are correct, as well as whether the connections between the pipes and the equipment are proper ; 4. Verify data consistency ; 5. Are the pipe specifications, material grades, and the types of fittings and valves selected correct? ; 6. Is the arrangement of the valves convenient for operation, maintenance, and disassembly? Is the direction of the valve stems appropriate? ; 7. Check whether the pipes with a large slope have been given a slope in the model, and whether the slope meets the required standards ; 8. Is the insulation thickness of the pipes in the model correct? ; 9. Collision check. The participants worked in groups to review the 60% model depth and progress of air separation, gasification, purification (shift, sulfur recovery, cryogenic methanol washing, liquid nitrogen washing, and internal pipeline systems for purification), synthesis (ammonia synthesis, refrigeration processes), as well as the external pipelines of the entire plant (including those of the new and old plants). The model review comments regarding 30% of the external pipes across the entire plant were verified and resolved, and issues such as the external pipe corridors, pipeline layout, valve operation, maintenance spaces, and platform design were reviewed and discussed in accordance with the requirements of the review, ultimately leading to a consensus that was documented in the meeting minutes. The joint review and confirmation of the 60% model for this project have laid a solid foundation for its steady progress, particularly by creating the conditions necessary for civil construction, thereby ensuring project timelines are met. Only through the joint efforts of everyone can the progress, safety, and quality of the project be kept under control, ensuring its successful commissioning from the first attempt.
