On the morning of November 4, a meeting was held in the conference room of the Ningxia Coal Infrastructure and Chemicals Base to prepare for the construction of Ningxia Coal Industry Company’s 200,000 tons/year FTO wax project; representatives from the relevant departments of the coal-to-oil chemical engineering project command team as well as representatives of the construction companies attending the project were present at the meeting. It is reported that as the first joint venture project approved by Ningxia Coal Company in the Ningdong Coal Chemical Industry Base, this project is also the first fine chemical project in that base to use products from coal-to-oil facilities as raw materials; it plays an important role as a model for the further development of the industrial chain. On September 9, **Energy Group Ningxia Coal Industry Company signed a joint venture agreement for a 200,000 tons per year fischer-tropsch wax project with Ningxia Fengjiashenghe Energy Technology Co., Ltd.** The 200,000 tons per year FTO wax project received the investment approval from **Energy Group on May 9, 2021; the joint venture plan was approved by the Party Committee of Ningxia Coal Industry Company on May 31. The two parties established a joint venture to be responsible for the construction of the FTO wax project, as well as the production and sales of FTO wax products. The 200,000 tons per year FTO wax project of Ningxia Coal Industry uses the 50,000 tons per year FTO heavy wax and 150,000 tons per year FTO refined wax produced by its coal-to-oil project as raw materials, to manufacture 200,000 tons per year of products in various grades such as 33# wax, 45# wax, 60# wax, 70# wax, and 105# wax. The project covers an area of approximately 150 mu. The total investment in this project is 39.3 billion yuan. The construction includes a molecular distillation unit, a granulation unit, a heat transfer oil system, as well as supporting facilities such as raw material storage areas, product storage areas, product warehouses, a power distribution system, a circulating water facility, and a hot water station. Wastewater treatment, natural gas (fuel gas), demineralized water, steam, nitrogen, instrument air, plant air, etc., rely on the existing utility facilities of the 4 million tons per year coal indirect liquefaction project.
