Progress on the construction of the Ulan Tai’an Energy and Chemical Industry project in Xingan League, which aims to produce 1.35 million tons of synthetic ammonia and 2.4 million tons of urea per year. On November 2, the Party committee secretary of the banner, the deputy head of the banner, and Yang Lei, the Party secretary of Korqin Town, inspected the Ulan Group’s project for producing 1.35 million tons of synthetic ammonia and 2.4 million tons of urea per year. Detailed information was obtained regarding the progress of enterprise construction, the safety assessments prior to trial production, and the progress of system integration tests. Discussions were held with Zhang Xiaoyi, deputy director of the Management Committee of the Meng Economic and Technological Development Zone, on various details related to the enterprise’s commissioning, with officials from the Bureau of Industry and Information Technology of the relevant banner accompanying them. The annual production capacity of 1.35 million tons of synthetic ammonia and 2.4 million tons of urea for the Ulan Tai’an Energy and Chemical Co., Ltd. in Xingan League project is expected to require a total investment of 10.56 billion yuan, of which approximately 9.3 billion yuan has already been invested. Leveraging the region’s abundant high-quality coal resources, the project involves the in-situ deep processing of local raw coal to produce high-quality fertilizers. This approach not only facilitates industrial optimization but also provides strong support for the development of the agricultural industry in Xingan League, while simultaneously ensuring economic benefits for enterprises. Among them, for the first production line with an annual capacity of 750,000 tons of synthetic ammonia and 1.3 million tons of urea, all the main equipment has been installed; the subsystems were handed over for commissioning in late September 2021. At present, the first production line is in the stage of pre-production testing as well as addressing the safety review issues related to the system before starting operations. The first production line is scheduled to complete tasks such as airtightness testing of the subsequent process systems, instrument calibration, and joint commissioning by the end of November 2021, so as to meet the conditions for starting trial production. Production testing with material feeding began in early December. The Management Committee of the United League Economic and Technological Development Zone in Horqin Right Front Banner attaches great importance to the progress of project construction; it assigns dedicated personnel to handle various matters prior to the start of trial production, and mobilizes resources in a timely manner to ensure the smooth commencement of operations for the project.
