Successful commissioning of two nitrogen pressure units in Donghua Technology’s Xinjiang Tianye project Author/Source: Donghua Technology ECEC Date: April 14, 2020 Clicks: 42 On the afternoon of April 12, the two nitrogen pressure units in the air separation compressor station, which are part of the EPC contract for the air separation unit in Donghua Technology’s 600,000 tons per year ethylene glycol production project at Xinjiang Tianye Phase I, were successfully commissioned. This marks the first successful commissioning of large-scale mechanical equipment since the project resumed operations in 2020. Before the commissioning, the Xinjiang Tianye project team of the company developed a thorough, feasible, and reliable commissioning plan, and briefed all parties involved in the commissioning process, including the owner and the construction contractor, on this plan to ensure that they were familiar with the requirements, main steps, and precautions necessary for the commissioning. Ultimately, in the presence of the owner, supervisor, and all participating parties, the nitrogen pressure unit operated continuously for 4 hours, and the trial run was successful on the first attempt. As an important piece of equipment in air separation units, the successful commissioning of the nitrogen pressure unit provided a solid foundation for the commissioning and purging of subsequent phases of the project. Under the current pandemic circumstances, the completion of this task has **boosted the morale of all relevant parties and strengthened their confidence. The Donghua Technology Xinjiang Tianye project team, together with all the participating units, has worked together to advance the various project objectives in a stable and orderly manner.
