Recently, the installation of the process pipelines for the methanol unit of this project, which is under the general contract of Beijing Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd., has achieved its annual goals. It is reported that the process pipelines for the methanol complex amount to approximately 110,000 meters, and as of December 31, 2021, the completion rate for these pipelines was 81.06%. At present, 95% of the civil engineering work for the facility has been completed, the steel structure installation is fully finished, 100% of the process equipment has been installed, and 80% of the electrical cable laying is complete ； The methanol area substation has been fully electrified. Next, the project team will regard the piping work for the 4 steam turbine compressors in the methanol complex, oil transportation, individual unit testing, as well as the completion of process pipelines and pressure testing as key control points for project handover, making every effort to ensure that the project is handed over by May 30th. The Yushen 500,000 tons per year coal-based ethanol project is currently the largest project in the industrialization of coal-based ethanol technology. With a total investment of 6.98 billion yuan, the project covers an area of 1,365 mu, and it utilizes the coal-to-ethanol technology developed jointly by Yanchang Petroleum and Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, which holds independent intellectual property rights. The project will be fully handed over on May 30, 2022. Beijing Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd. (Beiyou Engineering) has been assigned an EPC contract worth 3.78 billion yuan, covering auxiliary facilities and plant-wide system projects, as well as process units and water treatment systems; it is also responsible for providing overall project management services for this project. As the EPC general contractor for the gasification unit of this project, Aerospace Engineering Company signed a general contract with Yushen Energy Chemical Company worth 590 million yuan; the project utilizes two 2,000-ton-class aerospace furnaces.
