At 10:40 a.m. on April 21, with the startup of the coal conveyor belt, the first batch of refined slime coal from Wenjiapo Coal Mine was delivered to Binzhou Company’s stockyard. This marks the official entry of the project for differentiated utilization of slime coal from Wenjiapo into the practical implementation phase, laying a solid foundation for subsequent small-scale testing operations. The quality-separated utilization project for slime coal involves separating the 5500 kcal slime coal from the Wenjiapo Coal Mine into slime premium coal with 6200 kcal and mixed coal with 4800 kcal; the slime premium coal is used as a substitute for lump coal as raw material coal, while the mixed coal is used as a substitute for slime coal as fuel coal. Through the differentiated utilization project, Binzhou Company’s raw coal price can be changed from the average auction price in the lump coal market to the long-term railway contract price for pulverized refined coal, thereby significantly reducing the cost of raw coal. At the same time, the quality of pulverized coal is more stable than that of lump coal, meeting the quality standards for raw coal, thereby enabling more stable and efficient gasification processes. The implementation of this project has played an important role in reducing the production costs of Binzhou Company. To ensure the orderly implementation of this project, the Materials Procurement Department, with the strong cooperation of departments such as the Production Department, Water and Vehicle Workshop, and Gas Production Workshop at Binzhou Company, prepared a feasibility study report after preliminary evaluations. It organized the relevant workshops to develop trial operation plans, and made multiple attempts to coordinate with relevant entities such as Wenjiapo Mining of Binchang Mining Group and Binchang Branch of Shaanxi Coal Marketing Group in order to finalize the project implementation plan ； Subsequent steps will be determined based on the results of the trial firing.
