The successful production of this product not only enhances the efficiency of polyolefin products but also represents a solid step forward in Yueneng Chemical’s pursuit of higher quality, differentiation, and customization in its development strategies, thereby providing additional impetus for the company to improve its market competitiveness. According to the person in charge of the PP3 facility, the new product EP548R has a high melt index, requires a wide range of production techniques, and demands precise control of various parameters. Based on summarizing the experience gained from previous production of impact-resistant copolymer products, the PP3 facility conducted multiple discussions on transition plans, organized intensive training for all staff, and optimized the conditions for the transition. While increasing the hydrogen concentration, the gas-phase components of the system were kept within an appropriate range by adjusting the feed amounts of ethylene and propylene to the second reactor R401, ensuring that no intermediate products were generated during the transition to the new product grade; as a result, qualified products were successfully produced. It is understood that the new products produced this time have high impact resistance, good flowability, and excellent low-temperature impact performance. It is mainly used in the production of basic components such as toys, furniture, and automotive parts.
