Date: March 30, 2021. Clicks: 2. On March 20, an internal handover ceremony was held in the first meeting room of Guangxi Energy and Chemical Company, organized by the project owner, namely Guangxi Huayi Energy and Chemical Co., Ltd., for the 500,000-ton-per-year acetic acid production facility and the associated intermediate storage areas. At the meeting, Hua Yi Engineering Company provided an overview of the overall project progress as well as the preparations carried out by CCCC. The supervision party submitted a supervision report regarding the project construction and quality. The construction department, safety and environmental protection department, and manufacturing department of the project owner provided their evaluations of the construction work. A representative from Guangxi Hua Yi Energy Chemical Company, on behalf of the project owner, gave its approval for the handover of the acetic acid production facility to CCCC. This project utilizes a catalyst system and technologies independently developed by Huayi to produce acetic acid through the low-pressure carbonylation of methanol. Pile foundation construction for the facility began on September 10, 2018, while civil engineering work for the foundations started on April 26, 2019; the intermediate handover of the project was achieved on March 20, 2021. During the project construction process, the project team of Hua Yi Engineering Company always adhered to the philosophy of \"building high-quality projects and striving for national excellence awards.\" They actively promoted the use of excellent work procedure models as well as the development of smart construction sites, and successfully carried out all the tasks related to the three inspections and four determinations. The acetic acid project ranked first in the annual evaluations for two consecutive years, serving as a model in terms of ensuring compliance with all requirements throughout the entire management process and at the construction site. As the first chemical plant at Huayi Qinzhou Base to achieve commissioning, the acetic acid plant is of milestone significance. It marks the entry of the industrial gas island project into the preparation phase for trial operation, laying a solid foundation and providing valuable experience that facilitates the commissioning of other plants in the future. In the next phase, Hua Yi Engineering Company will continue to carry out all the necessary tasks related to the completion of the project and its digital delivery as required. At the same time, it will shift its focus to Phase 2 of the acetic acid project, ensuring that this phase is completed successfully by the end of 2021. The Huayi Qinzhou Chemical New Materials Integration Base project is located in the Qinzhou Petrochemical Industrial Park, covering an area of about 8,000 mu, with a total investment of around 70 billion yuan. It will be implemented in three phases. It covers four major industrial chains: coal chemical industry, light hydrocarbon cracking, salt chemical industry, and downstream petrochemical industry, involving 40 types of chemical products and 65 sets of facilities. One of these industrial gas island projects, with a total investment of 14.3 billion yuan, is part of the coal chemical industry chain; construction began in November 2017. It will produce industrial gases such as hydrogen, syngas, and nitrogen for use by users within the industrial park, as well as chemical products like methanol, ethylene glycol, and acetic acid. Completion and operation are expected by 2020. The second-phase light hydrocarbon comprehensive utilization project has a total investment of around 20.8 billion yuan. With ethane cracking and propane dehydrogenation as its core processes, the project will produce products such as polyethylene, ethylene glycol, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA), acrylates, polyether polyols, caustic soda, and polyvinyl chloride. Construction is expected to begin in 2019. The main plant area of the project is located in plots 25 and 26 in the Qinzhou Petrochemical Industry Park, to the south of it. The third-phase methanol-to-olefins and downstream processing project has a total investment of around 18.3 billion yuan; it will produce products such as polypropylene, polycarbonate, polymethyl methacrylate, caustic soda, and polyvinyl chloride, with construction expected to begin in 2025.
