HollySys Secures Contract for New Coal Chemicals Project at Jingyuan Coal and Electricity in Gansu (600,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, 700,000 tons of urea, 100,000 tons of methanol, etc.) Author/Source: Energy & Chemical Industry News Date: 2022-10-15 Clicks: 28 Recently, HollySys secured a contract for the automation systems (OCS, SIS, GDS) as well as the plant intelligence management system for the first phase of Jingyuan Coal and Electricity’s project aimed at the clean and efficient utilization of gasified gas (relocation and renovation). This project is an important cornerstone of Jingyuan Coal Industry Group’s major strategic plan to develop an integrated \"coal-electricity-chemicals\" industry, in line with the goals of high-quality development and by adhering to the principles of low-carbon, clean, and efficient growth. Liuhua Chemical Co., Ltd. of Jingyuan Coal Industry Group is affiliated with Gansu Jingyuan Coal and Electricity Co., Ltd., the first coal-related company to go public in the Northwest. As a new-era coal chemical enterprise with the heritage of traditional state-owned coal enterprises, Liuhua Chemical Industry resolutely implements the \"14th Five-Year Plan for Intelligent Manufacturing Development.\" Adhering to the principles of \"high-end development, intelligence, and sustainability,\" it uses innovation to drive transformation and accelerates project construction, striving to build a first-class \"intelligent manufacturing demonstration factory.\" This effort provides strong support for other chemical enterprises in creating fully intelligent factories. The Gansu Jingyuan Coal and Electricity Clean and Efficient Gasification Gas Comprehensive Utilization (Relocation and Transformation) Project is located in the Yindong Industrial Park of the Baiyin High-Tech Industrial Development Zone. The total investment in the project is 5.425 billion yuan, with a land area of 839 mu. The raw coal and fuel coal used in the project are mainly Jingyuan coal, and advanced, mature, and energy-saving technologies such as the aerospace coal gasification by pressure (2 units), isothermal shift, and Claus sulfur recovery are employed to produce products such as synthetic ammonia, methanol, urea, melamine, and urea solutions ； At the same time, it supplies high-quality raw materials such as hydrogen and carbon monoxide to other chemical enterprises in the Yindong Industrial Park, thereby promoting the development of a circular economy in the park. The designed production capacity is 2×300,000 tons of synthetic ammonia per year, 2×350,000 tons of urea, 100,000 tons of methanol, 216 million m3 of (H2+CO), 60,000 tons of melamine, 50,000 tons of urea solution, 50,000 tons of liquid CO2, and 2,500 tons of catalysts. The project uses 2 2,000-ton-class space gasification furnaces. The project is planned to be constructed in two phases. The first phase will primarily involve the installation of a pulverized coal gasification unit, along with new facilities for air separation, raw gas conversion and purification, and ammonia synthesis; completion and commissioning of this phase are scheduled for the end of 2022. Upon completion of the project, it is expected that 1.725 million tons of raw coal can be converted on-site each year, enabling annual production capacities of 600,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, 700,000 tons of urea, 100,000 tons of methanol, 60,000 tons of melamine, and 50,000 tons of urea** solution. Once the project reaches full production capacity, it is expected to generate annual sales revenue of 2.7 billion yuan and total profits and taxes of 700 million yuan.
