! Heilongjiang’s first green methanol project – the Jixian Wind, Storage, Hydrogen and Methanol Integration Project with a total investment of 4.2 billion yuan – was launched on July 11, 2025. The construction of this project began in the chemical industry park of the Jixian Economic Development Zone. The launch of this major project not only marks a crucial step forward in the upgrading of Jixian County’s energy industry structure, but it also provides strong impetus for achieving the \"dual carbon\" goals and advancing energy transformation and low-carbon development; it will serve as an important engine for the high-quality growth of Jixian County. It is understood that the total investment in this project amounts to 4.2 billion yuan, with a land area of approximately 254,436 square meters; it is a modern industrial base that integrates cutting-edge technology with green concepts. Innovatively, the project uses green electricity generated by CSSC’s wind power generation for hydrogen production through electrolysis, and combines carbon dioxide emissions from Hongzhan’s biomass fermentation as raw materials. It includes facilities such as water electrolysis hydrogen production units, methanol synthesis units, and methanol distillation units; it is expected to produce approximately 119,000 tons of green methanol per year. This combination of raw materials consisting of \"green electricity + biomass exhaust gases\" has opened up a new path for the comprehensive utilization of clean energy in the region. The unique advantage of this project lies in its ability to combine multiple environmental and economic benefits. By effectively combining biomass fermentation waste gas with green electricity for hydrogen production, the development of this cutting-edge industry of green methanol is vigorously promoted; once operational, it will enable the reduction of nearly 140,000 tons of carbon dioxide from fermentation processes each year. At the same time, once the project is completed, it will significantly boost local employment by creating numerous job opportunities for the people in the surrounding area, thus fostering a win-win situation that benefits enterprise development, environmental protection, and improved living standards. This project is primarily funded by Shuangyashan Hongzhan Biotechnology Co., Ltd. Shuangyashan Hongzhan Biotechnology Co., Ltd. was established in May 2017, with a registered capital of 100 million RMB. It was founded through a joint investment by Sichuan Hongzhan Industrial Group Co., Ltd. and Jixian Hualiang Liquor Industry Co., Ltd.
