On October 19, 2025, Sinochem held a special seminar on the engineering technology company \"Huayi Furnace.\" The meeting focused on the research and development as well as application of chemical processing equipment, with the aim of promoting the upgrading of the equipment manufacturing industry. Background of the meeting: This symposium is an important step taken by China Chemical to advance its strategic plan of \"six integrated controls.\" It aims to promote high-quality development in the equipment manufacturing industry through technological innovation, thereby strengthening enterprises’ core competitiveness in the field of chemical equipment. Meeting Agenda:
Technology R&D Directions: Focus on discussing the technical optimization and upgrading paths for core equipment such as the “Huayi Furnace,” and explore its intelligent applications in chemical production processes.
Industrial Collaboration: By integrating business areas such as “custom equipment manufacturing and the production of high-end equipment for rubber, plastic, and chemical industries,” promote deep integration between equipment manufacturing and engineering services.
Application Scenarios: Examine the suitability of the “Huayi Furnace” in fields such as new material development and energy conservation and emission reduction, to facilitate the implementation of green and low-carbon technologies.
Next Steps: The meeting called for engineering technology companies to develop specific technical solutions, establish “three sets of plans” and “nine specific action items” to transform technological research into actual productive capabilities.
I. Working principle of Huayi gasifier The Huayi gasifier is a type of coal gasification device used primarily to convert coal into syngas for use in chemical manufacturing. This gasifier employs a multi-nozzle, semi-waste-heat boiler downward quenching process, and its working principle is as follows: First, coal powder and oxygen are mixed and fed into the gasifier, where a gasification reaction takes place under high temperature and pressure to produce syngas. Then, the syngas is cooled downward through a waste heat exchanger to reduce its temperature to an appropriate range. Finally, the syngas is fed into subsequent chemical production processes for use. II. Technical features of the Huayi gasification furnace 1. High thermal efficiency: The Huayi gasification furnace employs a multi-nozzle, semi-waste-boiler downward quenching process, which results in high thermal efficiency; it allows for full utilization of the energy in coal, thereby improving production efficiency. 2. Strong adaptability to coal types: The Huayi gasifier is suitable for various types of coal, including bituminous coal, anthracite, lignite, etc., and possesses strong adaptability. 3. Good environmental performance: The Huayi gasification furnace utilizes advanced environmental protection technologies, which enable effective reduction in the emission of waste gases, wastewater, and solid waste, thus helping to protect the environment. III. Application scenarios of Huayi gasification furnace: The Huayi gasification furnace is widely used in industries such as chemicals, metallurgy, and power generation, and it is a very important gasification device. For example, during the construction of the first phase of the Hua Yi Qinzhou Chemical New Materials Integrated Base project, the Hua Yi gasifier, as one of the key equipment, was successfully lifted into place and put into use, marking significant progress in the construction of this project. Furthermore, the Huayi gasifier can also be used to produce chemical products such as synthetic ammonia and synthetic methanol, offering broad application prospects. In summary, the Huayi gasification furnace is an efficient and environmentally friendly coal gasification device, featuring high thermal efficiency, strong adaptability to different types of coal, and excellent environmental performance. The successful application of this gasification furnace provides strong support for China’s scientific and technological innovation efforts, and also injects new momentum into the development of the country’s chemical industry.
