Is air used as a coolant in the acid cooler for sulfur-based acid production?

In the current process, for sulfur-based acid production, the acid cooler uses circulating water as a coolant to remove the heat from the acid? I would like to ask everyone whether air can be used as a substitute for circulating water? What are the constraints? Thank you!
The theory is fine; different types of heat exchangers require higher investment.
The specific heat of air is too low; the heat exchange area would have to be enormous, which isn’t practical.
What is the difference in specific heat capacity between water and air, and what size of device is required for cooling using air?
