The alkali flue gas desulfurization projects for Units 2 and 3 of the sulfur recovery facilities at Tahe Refining & Chemical Plant have been put into operation, marking a new step forward in the company’s transition toward greener and lower-carbon operations. The alkali flue gas desulfurization system put into operation this time is primarily used for advanced desulfurization of the flue gas discharged from the sulfur recovery unit. On-site data show that after the project was put into operation, the sulfur dioxide concentration in the exhaust gases was well below **the current emission standards. In addition, the project was equipped with an online automatic flue gas monitoring system, which enables real-time monitoring of concentrations such as sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides.
