Taishun County in Zhejiang Province signs project for 500,000 tons of pyrophyllite powder for glass fibers. Recently, the People’s Government of Taishun County in Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, and Yuanjia (China) Mining Co., Ltd. jointly signed an investment agreement for a project aimed at producing 500,000 tons of glass fiber powder per year. It is understood that the total investment in this project is around 300 million yuan. By leveraging the talc resources available in Guihu, Taishun, as well as the company’s own technological advantages, and guided by market demands and economic benefits, this project aims to develop talc powder products for use in glass fiber production. Once completed, it will have the capacity to produce 500,000 tons of finished powder used as raw material for glass fiber per year, thereby significantly improving the utilization rate of the talc resources in Guihu, Taishun, and increasing their added value. Chrysotile resources are distributed across Taishun County from south to north, covering an area of nearly 60 square kilometers. Among them, the main mining area is located in Guihu Town, renowned as the “Capital of Wax Stone”. The mining area covers 3.6 square kilometers, with ore veins stretching 5,580 meters in length. The proven reserves amount to 50 million tons, while the theoretical reserves exceed 100 million tons. It is the largest single ore deposit in Asia. Yuanjia (China) Mining Co., Ltd. is the largest independent supplier of alkali-free glass fiber mineral raw materials in China, specializing in the mining, processing, and supply of non-metallic mineral products such as glass fiber-grade pyrophyllite and glass fiber-grade kaolin.
