Building a global high-end fluorine chemical industry chain: Construction begins on the second phase of Changlu New Materials project 2025-03-31 14:38:26 On March 27, the second phase of Changlu New Materials’ project for the industrial production of fluorinated organic materials – a project with a total investment of 500 million yuan, an additional production capacity of 2,072 tons per year, and an output value exceeding 400 million yuan – began construction in the Tianjin Nangang Industrial Zone. Relevant leaders from Tianjin city and the Binhai New Area, officials from Tianjin Bohua Group, and representatives of enterprises from Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei jointly witnessed the implementation of this major project driven by new forms of productive capacity and characterized by cross-regional collaborative innovation. This project vividly implements the strategic initiatives set forth at the 2025 National Two Sessions, namely \"deepening regional collaborative innovation\" and \"fostering new forms of productive capacity\", while reflecting Tianjin Bohua Group’s modern chemical development philosophy of \"high-end, high-quality, and efficient operations; green, low-carbon, and circular practices; digital intelligence; and resilience and safety\". It is reported that as the pioneer in technological innovation for Tianjin Bohua Group, Changlu New Materials has been focusing on the high-end fluorine chemical industry since its establishment in 2015. It has invested over 100 million yuan in research and development, establishing a comprehensive innovation framework that covers research and development, pilot testing, and industrialization. The hydrogen fluoride ether synthesis technology developed independently by this group company has reached the international leading level, while the synthesis technologies for perfluoropolyethers and hexafluoroepichlorohydrin have reached the international advanced level; it has also won the Second Prize for Technical Invention in Tianjin. To date, the group company holds 129 patents, including 35 invention patents, and has established a post-doctoral research station; it also possesses qualifications such as those for high-tech enterprises and companies recognized as specialized, innovative, and of high quality. It is understood that the second phase of this project, located in the Tianjin Nangang Industrial Zone and covering a total area of 120,800 square meters, involves an investment of 500 million yuan. This phase will see the construction of two hydrogen fluoride ether production units along with the necessary supporting infrastructure; once operational, it will enable an additional production capacity of 2,072 tons per year, with an annual output value exceeding 400 million yuan. The engineering project fully integrates the resources of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei to create a collaborative innovation ecosystem of \"basic research – application development – industrial transformation\". At this historical juncture where the 14th Five-Year Plan comes to an end and the 15th Five-Year Plan begins, Changlu New Materials will use its second-phase project as a foundation to advance three key strategies simultaneously: accelerating the transition of laboratory achievements into industrial projects on a thousand-ton scale, expanding the use of electronic fluorinated liquids in cutting-edge applications such as chip manufacturing and immersion cooling in data centers, and forming an innovation alliance for fluorine materials in collaboration with upstream and downstream enterprises. The company will also take the lead in developing 7 industry or group standards to promote further progress in the substitution of imported products with domestic alternatives. Once fully completed, the project will serve as a benchmark for innovation in the high-end fluorine chemical industry in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, injecting strong \"new forms of productive capacity\" into the high-quality development of the manufacturing sector during the 15th Five-Year Plan period. The commencement of construction for the Phase II project of Changlu New Materials represents not only a milestone in the company’s innovative development but also a strategic effort toward coordinated innovation in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the cultivation of new forms of productive capacity. In the future, an internationally influential innovation hub for fluorine chemicals will be established here. With \"Taida efficiency\" and \"Bohua quality\", it will create a new legacy as China’s high-end manufacturing sector moves up the global value chain, contributing to the achievement of the strategic goal of becoming a manufacturing powerhouse through fluorine-based materials!
