Additionally, the five ministries and commissions have explicitly supported Zigong in establishing a high-level fluorine materials industry base, providing policy support for us to pursue this industry while also helping to avoid homogeneous competition. At present, this industry has been identified by the provincial Party committee and government as one of the “15+N” industrial chains to be prioritized for development. The “chemical industry city development” and “Third Front construction” in the last century laid a solid foundation for Zigong’s salt chemical and fluorine chemical industries. At the same time, the proven reserves of rock salt across the city exceed 17 billion tons, while the total volume of underground brine and dark brine amounts to over 1.75 billion cubic meters. There are also abundant fluorite resources in the surrounding area, which provides us with a solid foundation for utilizing these salt and brine resources to develop the fluorosilicon industry through the exchange of chlorine for fluorine. Seek opportunities in industry trends and leading enterprises. Seizing opportunities and gathering leading enterprises is an effective strategy for latecomer regions to overtake others on a curve. Currently, the fluorosilicon industry is one of the fastest-growing sectors within the chemical industry, characterized by its high level of technological advancement and promising prospects. Its products are widely used in fields such as military applications, refrigeration, aviation and aerospace, as well as electronic information, which means it has great potential and is in a favorable growth phase. Furthermore, Sinochem Group, the leader in the chemical industry, has concentrated its efforts on developing fluorosilicon industrial bases along the riverbanks, playing a leading role in the rapid formation of this industrial chain. Through years of persistent efforts, a number of leading enterprises such as Zhonghao Chenguang, Sinochem Lan Tian, and Sichuan Honghua have set up operations in Yantan. As the location for these enterprises, the Zigong South Sichuan New Materials Chemical Park has thus been awarded honors such as \"China’s Advanced Fluorine Materials Demonstration Park\".
