On September 11, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment accepted and made public the environmental impact assessment for the technological upgrade project of Zhejiang Essen Chemical Co., Ltd., which aims to increase production capacity by 500 tons per year of chlorantraniliprole, 1,600 tons per year of difenoconazole, 200 tons per year of triclopyr, 1,750 tons per year of butoxyethyl triclopyr, 2,250 tons per year of isooctyl fluoroxyacetic acid, and 1,000 tons per year of aminopicolinic acid. The details of the project are as follows: Project name: Technological upgrade project for Zhejiang Essen Chemical Co., Ltd. to increase production capacity of chlorantraniliprole by 500 tons per year, difenoconazole by 1,600 tons per year, triclopyr by 200 tons per year, butoxyethyl triclopyr by 1,750 tons per year, isooctyl fluoroxyacetic acid by 2,250 tons per year, and aminopicolinic acid by 1,000 tons per year； Construction unit: Zhejiang Essen Chemical Co., Ltd ； Construction nature: Renovation ； Construction location: No. 335, Jiangnan Second Road, Hengdian Town, Dongyang City, Zhejiang Province; No. 339, Jiangnan Second Road, Hengdian Town, Dongyang City, Zhejiang Province ； Project investment: 202 million yuan. Construction content and scale: The project employs green synthesis processes, and more than 800 sets of equipment such as reaction vessels, fully automatic closed centrifuges, and dryers are purchased. Existing factory facilities are utilized to upgrade production lines, tank areas, and utility systems for wastewater pretreatment, thereby creating a \"new type of high-end green active ingredient manufacturing facility\" with an annual production capacity of 500 tons of chlorantraniliprole, 1600 tons of difenoconazole, 200 tons of triclopyr, 1750 tons of butoxyethyl triclopyr, 2250 tons of isooctyl fluoroacetate, and 1000 tons of aminopyrine. Additionally, the facility will produce 220 tons of ethanol, 150 tons of sodium sulfite, and 285 tons of hydrochloric acid per year as by-products. At the same time, technical upgrades were carried out on the utilization of dilute sulfuric acid in the existing 3,000 tons/year tetrachloropyridine acid production facility, resulting in by-products of 13,100 tons/year of magnesium sulfate and 24,000 tons/year of aluminum sulfate.
