Taking an ammonia synthesis plant with an annual urea production capacity of 250,000 tons as an example, if shutdown is planned for 6 months or longer due to market reasons, then how should equipment protection be ensured during that shutdown period, assuming that all utility services are also shut down? Steam, water, nitrogen – all shut down! Besides regular turning of the gears, is there any better way to protect the environment from nitrogen? Because after the circulating water is shut down, leakage problems in the heat exchangers become quite serious! Is there any good solution? I hope the experienced members of this forum can offer some guidance!
1. Pressure vessels and pressure pipelines must be depressurized； 2. The screw should be coated with butter for protection ； 3. Regular inspections should be carried out, and any overlooked areas should be addressed promptly.
Blow out thoroughly, maintain the system under nitrogen pressure, and carry out maintenance according to the actual production operation conditions
Is this a heat exchanger leak caused by other factors? Logically, factors other than corrosion cannot cause a leak.
