On December 22, reporters learned that Jinzhou Petrochemical has completed the renovation of 430 high-energy-consuming mechanical and electrical devices, 5 more than the target set for this year, thereby providing strong impetus for the company’s low-carbon transformation through technological upgrades. The renovation of high-energy-consuming mechanical and electrical equipment is a key measure taken by Jinzhou Petrochemical to optimize its industrial structure and achieve high-quality development. By phasing out energy-intensive equipment and introducing efficient, energy-saving devices, the company can significantly reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions during the production process, minimize resource waste, and improve energy utilization efficiency. This lays a solid foundation for establishing a green and low-carbon production system, enabling the company to move forward steadily on the path of sustainable development. According to the governance plan, Jinzhou Petrochemical plans to complete the renovation of 425 pieces of equipment this year, with the remaining 194 pieces to be renovated by 2026. Building on the fact that this year’s rectification tasks were completed ahead of schedule, the company did not slow down its efforts; in December it continued to mobilize construction teams to initiate the equipment rectification plans for 2026 in advance. This measure further accelerated the process of addressing high-energy-consuming equipment, laying a solid foundation for the early energy-saving upgrade of all the company’s equipment. At present, the high-efficiency motors that have been replaced as part of Jinzhou Petrochemical’s project to upgrade energy-intensive motors are all operating smoothly; the equipment is in good working condition, and the energy-saving effects are already beginning to show.
