Basic overview: As a new type of environmentally friendly amide surfactant, C13 isopropylamide has a structure similar to that of ethanolamide; however, due to its different carbon chain, it exhibits completely different properties. It does not contain nonylphenol groups, which is what sets it apart from other similar products. It performs excellently in removing oil stains as well as carbon particles and soot. At pH levels of 8–10, it exists in a mixed ionic form, thereby possessing excellent emulsifying and cleaning capabilities along with broad compatibility, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. Physical and chemical parameters: Appearance: Yellow, transparent, viscous liquid (at 25°C). Total content %: ≥98+1. pH value: 9–11 (1% aqueous solution). Foam formation: Moderate foam. HLB value: 13.5–14. Solubility: Easily soluble in water and organic solvents. Performance features: Excellent emulsifying properties, penetration ability, oil stain dispersing capability, as well as the ability to encapsulate and remove carbon black and carbon particles. It is environmentally friendly and does not contain nonylphenol functional groups; it is odorless and non-irritating in the environment, and gentle on contact organs and skin; it exhibits stable performance in terms of wetting and penetration properties as well as foaming capacity. The increase in the molecular carbon chain enhances the product’s resistance to hard water and its ability to disperse calcium soaps; it also has excellent compatibility. It is primarily used in daily chemical and industrial cleaning agents, hard surface cleaning, silk softening treatments, wax removers, abrasives, cosmetics, textile auxiliaries, as well as in the petroleum industry as emulsifiers, lubricants, corrosion inhibitors, thickeners, etc.
