If one wants to spray ammonia directly in the tower to absorb sulfur dioxide from the flue gas, can trays (that is, sieve trays) be used? But the tray method uses limestone gypsum; can ammonia be used instead? Can ammonia form a slurry on the trays?
We use sieve plates, mainly to address the issue of clogging.
Can sieve plates be used in ammonia-based desulfurization? Will ammonia water clog the sieve plates? It shouldn’t form a liquid film on the sieve plates, right?
