On December 20th, Beijing time, the Wizards defeated the Pelicans 116-106 at home. The Wizards (17-14) had all five starters score in double figures; the \"twin guns\" were not very accurate – Bradley Beal made 9 out of 19 attempts for 26 points, while John Wall made 6 out of 18 attempts for 18 points, 10 assists, and 6 rebounds. The teammates performed excellently: Marcus Morris scored 13 points, Marcin Lefert scored 10 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, while Kelly Oubre scored 10 points. Mike Scott, who came in as a substitute, scored 24 points. The Pelicans (15-16) have suffered two consecutive losses and now rank eighth in the West, facing the risk of falling further down the standings at any time. “The \"Twin Towers\" had a strong scoring ability: Anthony Davis scored 37 points and grabbed 9 rebounds, DeMarcus Cousins scored 26 points and 13 rebounds, while Jr. Holiday scored 13 points. Rajan Rondo played for only 14 minutes and failed to score.
