I have a basic question: When pump manufacturers provide information about their pumps, they will indicate the dimensions of the inlet and outlet flanges. As shown in the figure below, the inner diameter of the flange indicated is 800. This flange size is the same as that of the flange specified in the national standard GB/T9119-2000 PN1.0 DN800; except for the inner diameter, the standard specifies an inner diameter of 824 for DN800 flanges. Will there be any problems if standard flanges are used to connect the pump?
Isn’t the flange on the pump I bought standard? General technical agreements also require certain standard flanges. Which step is problematic?
Is there no problem with this? Not sure. Apart from the inner diameter, all other parameters are the same as those of standard flanges, which means it can be used.
The outer diameter of the DN800 pipe is 820, and the inner diameter of the flange is 800; welding cannot be performed in this case
What standard flange is this? DN800 is 32", why weld it? Can’t use butt welding?
Installation should be problem-free; why isn’t the inner diameter of the pump’s flange consistent with the standard flange? Is it due to considerations in the structural design of the water pump?
Then you need to ask the manufacturer! Standard flanges are used to facilitate matching. The flange is selected based on the pump’s capacity, rather than choosing the pump according to the flange size.
Basically, there are no issues; the key parameters are the bolt center distance, the size of the bolt holes, and the dimensions of the sealing surfaces – as long as these are correct, then there’s no problem.
