The make-up water pump fails to build pressure – what could be the cause? The exhaust is normal, the inlet and outlet are normal; is it possible that a leak in the mechanical seal is preventing the pump from building pressure? ?
If the seal leaks, it certainly will not affect the pump’s outlet pressure
If pressure cannot be generated, the causes should be sought in aspects such as the motor’s rotation direction and whether the impeller is clogged; a seal leak will not affect pressure generation.
It has no impact. For example, after starting the pump, opening a 6-inch vent valve on the outlet pipe will have no impact.
The mechanical seal leakage has little impact on the outlet pressure; let’s look for other causes! For example, whether the impeller keys are loose, and whether the conditions at the pump’s inlet and outlet are normal...
The mechanical seal is lubricated; it has nothing to do with the outlet pressure, and it can easily wear out the bearings

I used to have a multi-stage pump, and the issue was that components such as the impeller vanes were eroded, which prevented sufficient pressure from being generated. The pump I had at that time was also used for pumping water, as a boiler feed pump. Since you say there are no issues with the external components, I think the only option is to disassemble the pump and check if there are any internal problems. Anyway, you happen to need to replace the seal since it’s leaking. Haha
What pump? Centrifugal pump or? Reciprocating pumps can have an impact; for centrifugal pumps, it affects the degree of leakage, and in severe cases it can also have an effect.
Currently, the pressure at the pump outlet is normal, the oil pressure in the main pipeline is normal, the control oil pressure is high, the secondary oil pressure is high, and the quick-shut oil pressure is high. If the return valve is opened wider, as well as the secondary valve, the control oil pressure can be reduced
