For tank trucks’ discharge pumps used to unload sodium hypochlorite, what kind of pumps are commonly used? Are there any things to keep in mind? Thank you
Fluoroplastic centrifugal pump or centrifugal pump lined with fluorine material
The material must be corrosion-resistant; if the requirements are not high, a centrifugal pump will suffice.
Plastic centrifugal pumps; those made of PP are probably the cheapest
If the unloading frequency is high, it is recommended to use a centrifugal pump lined with PTFE； If the cargo is unloaded only once after a long period of time, it is recommended to use a diaphragm pump lined with PTFE ； When operating a diaphragm pump, the operator must take proper safety precautions (goggles, protective gloves, acid- and alkali-resistant clothing, etc.)
